Glen H. Belgum, age 72, of Brainerd, entered into rest on April 19, 2022 in Brainerd.

A memorial service for Glen will be on Tuesday April 26, 2022 at 11:00am at Lakewood Evangelical Free Church in Baxter. There will be a visitation for friends and family held on Monday April 25, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00pm at the church, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Glen was born on December 25, 1949 to Herbert and Marjorie (Verkennis) Belgum in Glenwood, Minnesota. He spent his career as an educator in the Brainerd ISD# 181 School District. Even after retirement, Glen went back to the classroom as a substitute teacher. His love for the outdoors was spent fishing and hunting. Glen was a fishing guide for the Nisswa Guides League for over 45 years. He greatly enjoyed time spent with his family and enjoyed playing with his three granddaughters.

He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Marilu, his daughters Kate (Arik) Axness and Elizabeth Belgum, son Nick Belgum, his granddaughters Ava, Evelyn, and Sophia, his siblings Kathy Urdahl, Pat Reese, Paul Belgum, and Debbie Sorenson.

Glen is preceded in death by his parents.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
