Born June 3, 1924 to the late Blanche and Ignatius Krupa, Leocadia was one of 10 children. She grew up in South Boston in the Polish neighborhood near Andrew Square. She was a faithful communicant of St. Mary's guild at the Polish church, Our Lady of Czestochowa in Andrew Square. Leocadia was known by many names. Her brothers and sister called her Lo. When she worked at the Department of Employment in Boston her coworkers called her Lee. Her Husband’s family all called her Laura.

Laura was very active in the VFW. She volunteered her time and traveled to many conventions all over the country. It was through the VFW where she met her future husband, Martin Kennedy. They were married in 1964 and resided in Hyde Park MA.

Martin and Laura loved weekend trips and gardening. Laura was a fabulous cook. She made polish food for everyone but was famous for her marshmallow brownies and her delicious peanut butter squares.

After Martin passed in 1977 Laura kept busy working her day job and She volunteered at the VA hospital for many years as well as the Carney Hospital on Sunday mornings. She loved her Red Sox and  crocheted many afghans for all her friends and family.  Laura was also known as "Gram" to Christopher Greg and Tim Potts and all of their friends, and Great Gram to Aiden, Madelyn, and Liam.  Laura was seen at every Basketball game for Milton High during their 2009 championship season. She was a quiet but loyal fan. She took her role as Gram very seriously and enriched all of us. 

Leocadia is survived by her brother's Tony Krupa of Hanover and Alfred (Duke) of Sandwich. She was predeceased by her Husband, Martin Kennedy, brothers John, Bill, Henry, Stanley, Frank, Mitch and Helen Marois. She Also leaves several nieces and nephews.  Visiting hour at the Alfred D.
