Angella Reed Mynarzy Obituary

MAMOU – With great sorrow, the family of Angella Mynarzy (Benoit) announces her passing on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at the age of 61. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 5:00 PM at Trinity Baptist Church in Turkey Creek.  Brother Kevin West will conduct funeral services.

Angella Reed was born in Pineville, Louisiana on April 9, 1961 to Burkman and Euna Courville Reed. Angella loved visiting with people whether family, friend, or even stranger.  Her greatest passion in life was that of being a mother and grandmother.  Angella enjoyed spending time with and caring for her children and grandchildren by crocheting, cooking, and baking.  She will be greatly missed by many and will live forever in their hearts.   

Angella is survived by her husband, Lawrence Benoit of Ville Platte; three daughters, April Sharp and husband, Anthony of Pine Prairie, Mayla Rozas of Pine Prairie, and Bekah Fontenot and husband, Joseph of Mamou; two step-sons, Chad Benoit and wife, Denise and Landon Benoit  both of Jennings; 11 grandchildren, Tyson Wright and wife, Kassady, Alexander Aguillard and Morgan, Hunter Aguillard, Bethany Burlew and husband, Dylan Burlew, AJ Sharp, Hayven Sharp, Pasey Sharp, McKenzie Rozas, Ava Ardoin, Rowdy Robinson, and Lochner Fontenot; three step grandchildren, Lance Benoit, Dylan Paddio, and Jace Paddio; and two great grandchildren, Murphy Wright and Quincee Wright.  Also left behind to cherish her memory are her two sisters, Sheila Ardoin and husband Ernest of Ville Platte and Sheryl Richardson of Mamou and sister-in-law, Linda Reed of Grand Prairie.

Angella is preceded in death by her parents, Burkman and Euna Courville Reed; sisters, Catherine Richard and Jerelyn Marcile; brothers Phillip Wayne Reed and Richard Reed and wife, JoAnne; nephew, Johnny Duplechin; step daughter, Lisa Benoit Paddio; step son, Lance Craig Benoit; and former husband Jon Mynarzy.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou.
