<p style="text-align: justify;"><br /> Susan Marie Simmons (nee Eisterhold) passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022 at home at the age of 62 years old. Susan was born on April 5, 1960 in Evansville, Indiana to Norman and Bette (Braun) Eisterhold. </p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br /> She was married to John Gordon Simmons on October 13, 1978 and together they had 2 sons, Brian and Aaron.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br /> Susan graduated high school from Gabriel Richard Catholic High School in 1978. As a military wife, she worked in a variety of capacities while also raising their boys. <br /> Susan fiercely loved her family and never met a stranger. She was very proud of her German heritage, which further grew after living there on two separate occasions. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed browsing antique shops, and had a love of traveling, specifically to Europe and Hawaii. Becoming a grandmother to Jacob was one of her most cherished titles and she proudly shared a birthday with her only grandchild. </p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br /> Susan is survived by her husband John, sons Brian of Romeoville, IL and Aaron (Katie) of Olathe, KS, grandson Jacob (12 months), sister Debora Bruckner of Westland, MI, brother David (Nancy) Eisterhold of Livonia, MI, sister-in-law Barbara Eisterhold of Southgate, MI, as well as multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins. <br /> She is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Bette Eisterhold and brother, Steven. </p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br /> A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
