1945 - 2022

Nathan “Nate” Alton Hall, husband of Georgette (Comeau) Hall of Miramichi passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on April 17, 2022, at the age of 77.

Born in Yarmouth, NS, on April 8, 1945, he was the son of the late Alton Hall born in Digby, NS, and Dorothy Louise (Morton) Hall born in Tewksbury, Mass.  He worked as an Administrator in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 35 plus years.  He attended St. Andrew’s Catholic Church and loved to volunteer whenever needed.  For example:  Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boy Scouts of Canada, dressed up for all special holidays, especially Santa Claus.  He also volunteered at Bingos, Dances, and for many more organizations. 

Nate is survived by his wife, Georgette Hall; three sons: Mark Hall (Heidi) of Toronto, ON, Darren Hall (Julia) of Niagara Falls, ON, and Jason Hall (Ana) of Toronto, ON; two grandchildren: Jack and Hanna; one sister, Marlane Shortt (Larry) of Lower Sackville, NS; two brothers: Kevin Hall (Barb) of Dartmouth, NS, and Stephen Hall (Linda) of Parkers Cove, NS; one sister-in-law, Nancy Comeau (MacDonald) of Miramichi; two brothers-in-law: Roger Comeau, and Ronnie Comeau (Karen) all of Miramichi.  He was predeceased by his parents; two sisters-in-law: Margie Comeau and Janine Olsen; and three brothers-in-law: Leon Comeau, Dennis Comeau, and Wayne Olsen.

By request of the family there will be no visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 4464 Water St., Miramichi, on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 11 AM with The Reverend Father Dan Bastarache as Celebrant.  Music for the service was provided by Jacqueline Allain and the hymns were "Watch The Sunrise", "Rest In God Alone", "Hallelujah", "Be Not Afraid", "Song of the Angels" and the recessional hymn was "Remember When".  The scripture readings was read by Angie Olsen and Nicole Hall and the Prayers of the Faithful was proclaimed by Karen Comeau.  The eulogy was presented by Kevin Hall.  A Legion service took place at the church at 10:45 AM prior to the funeral mass.

Honorary pallbearers were Ace Crowell, Lester Melanson, Roger Comeau, Millie Hancock, David Rideout and Bruce Young.  Interment will be held in St. Andrew’s Catholic Cemetery later in the spring.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
