<p>It is with grief and unending love that our family announce the passing of our beloved Craig Scott, 52, of Dixon, New Mexico. May he have eternal peace and rest with our Lord Jesus Christ. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, brother-in-law, Uncle and Friend. He was married to his sweetheart Roberta (Atencio) Scott for 25 wonderful years.</p> <p>He is survived by his loving wife Roberta Scott; daughters Caitlin and partner Alonso Lopez, and Brandi Scott; mother Berdine Scott, brothers, Damon Scott, Stuart Scott and wife Betty, James Scott and Melissa; aunt Dolores Mullin; Uncle Sam Mullin; brothers-in-law, Walter Atencio and wife Lupita, Danny Atencio and wife Lucille, and Carl Atencio Sr.; nephews and nieces, Felicia Jones and husband Ronald; Briana Atencio and partner Miguel Pacheco; Lynette Carabajal, Carl Atencio Jr, Phillip Martinez and Wife Ashley; Carolyn Martinez; great nephew and nieces Khalil Jones, Kyrie Jones, Aden Carabajal, Trinity Carabajal, Elijah Carabajal, and Jayden Martinez; and many dear friends.</p> <p>He was predeceased by his father Wilbur Scott; paternal grandparents, Wilbur Scott Sr. and wife Burnice; maternal grandparents, John Mullin and wife Ruby; aunt, Norma Jane Scott; uncle, Jim Mullin and mother and father-in-law, Dennis and Laura Atencio.</p> <p>Craig was born in Espanola, New Mexico. He graduated from Espanola High School in 1988. He worked at Shidoni Foundry, Ojo Caliente Hot Springs, Ohkay Casino and most recently at the Presbyterian Medical Center in Santa Fe. He loved to ride his motor bike, plant and care for a vegetable and flower garden, barbeque for his family, work on vehicles to sup and fix them up, travel and attend Denver Broncos games with his family, watch and cheer on the Chicago Cubs.</p> <p>We would like to acknowledge and thank the doctors, nurses, Hospice, and Chaplain staff at Christus St. Vincent Regional Cancer and Medical Centers. Also, a special thank you to Reverend Elizabeth Graham of Embudo Presbyterian Church for praying with him compassionately in his final moments.</p> <p>A Celebration of Life will take place at the DeVargas Funeral Home of Espanola&nbsp;on Tuesday April 26, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Immediately following the services, a funeral procession will proceed to the Embudo Presbyterian Cemetery.</p> <p>Serving the family as pallbearers will be Manuel Garcia, Leonard Valdez, Robert Velasquez, Brad Neighbor, James Scott, and Peter Romero. Craig was born in Espanola, New Mexico. He graduated from Espanola High School in 1988.
