Gerald Mason Rodeheaver

Gerald Mason Rodeheaver, 77, of Friendsville, MD, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, April 17, 2022, at Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland, MD.<br><br>Born January 19, 1945, in Cumberland, MD, he was the son of the late Mason and Geraldine (Wright) Rodeheaver. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Donald Rodeheaver; two nephews, Donald Rodeheaver, Jr. and Gary Rodeheaver; one great-niece, Hope Marie Upton.<br><br>Gerald was raised on a dairy farm in Sang Run, where he continued as a dairy farmer. He also raised rabbits for several decades and was the superintendent of the Rabbit Barn at the Garrett County Fair. He sold Christmas trees to the neighborhood and in his younger years he gave a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a faithful and lifelong member of the Oak Grove Church of the Brethren, where he served as usher.<br><br>Gerald never met anyone he didn’t want to know and in time built a lasting friendship.<br><br>He is survived by two brothers, Ronald E. (Gaye) Rodeheaver and Dwain A. (Judy) Rodeheaver, all of McHenry, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews.<br><br>Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 26722 Garrett Hwy., Accident (McHenry), MD, on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the Oak Grove Church of the Brethren on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Scott Rush officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Gerald Mason Rodeheaver, 77, of Friendsville, MD, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, April 17, 2022, at Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland, MD.
