<p> </p> <p>Randall Boyd Hicks of Clayton, Georgia, age 70, passed away on April 16, 2022. </p> <p>Randy was born November 7, 1951 in Cherokee County, North Carolina to Roberta Passmore Hicks, of Rabun Gap and the late L.L. Hicks, of Andrews, North Carolina. </p> <p> </p> <p>Randy graduated from South Hall High School in 1970. In his professional life he worked as a heavy equipment operator, in concrete construction and was a carpenter. He loved to hunt and fish. He also loved to grow flowers and to garden. His talents included glass etching, wood carving, leather work, walking canes and using his hands to create beautiful pieces of art from things he found in nature. </p> <p> </p> <p> In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Dawn Hicks. </p> <p> </p> <p>He leaves behind his son, Shawn Hicks (Christal), of Oakwood, Georgia; his daughter, Andrea Hanson, of Monroe, Georgia; granddaughters, Amber Beatty (Jake), Haley and Harley Hanson; grandsons, Cody (Jayme) and Jacob Hicks, and Patrick Martin; three great-grandchildren, Amelia Hanson, Bentley Wright and Raelynn Beatty; five sisters and two brothers, Vickie Stancil (James), Libby Hicks, Margaret York, Tammy Whitmire (Tony), Steve Hicks, Laura Welborn (Shane), of Rabun Gap, Georgia and Shane Hicks (Kim), Port St. Joe, Florida; also fifteen nieces and nephews. </p> <p> </p> <p>He will be deeply missed by his extended family and friends and all who knew and loved him.
