Duane R. Tackett, 47, of Bristol, passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Friday, April 15, 2022.

Duane was born on August 12, 1974 to Randolph Tackett and Jane (Mechling) Rieth.

Duane is survived by his children, Isaac and Leah Tackett, both of Goshen; mother, Jane Rieth of Bristol; father, Randolph Tackett of Kentucky; girlfriend, Angela Sandoval of Bristol; sister, Jennifer Mechling of Bristol; nephew, Ian (Sarah) Van Bergan of Little Rock, AR and several cousins.

Duane was employed in the R.V. industry most recently with Coachmen RV. He was a member of the S.A.L. American Legion Post 143 in Bristol. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and especially collecting rocks. Duane played the lottery in his spare time as well.

Duane was a dreamer, full of life and had a personality that drew people towards him. He loved his children and will be missed.

A Celebration of Duane’s Life will be held at a later date. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting the family.
