<p>Diana &ldquo;Dee Dee&rdquo; D. (Gates) Giroux, 63, of Zanesville, passed away unexpectedly at 11:52 P.M. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Genesis Hospital Emergency Room, Zanesville. She was born June 9, 1958, in Conway, SC, a daughter of the late John and Sandra (Taylor) Gates. She was employed as a home health nursing assistant and was a member of American Legion Post 29.</p> <p>Dee Dee leaves behind to cherish her memory a son, John (Crystal) Swope; grandchildren, Brandon, Blake, Briana, Boston, Zoe, Noah, and Braxton Swope; a brother, Rickey (Diana) Gates; a sister, Beckey (Keith) Gates; aunts, Peggy (Ron) Smith, Kim Greiner Maclean, and Sharon Taylor; uncles, Ted (Bev) Gates and Jack (Susan) Harris; many cousins; and special friends, Jackie Dennison, Dennis Palmer, Bob Murray, and Jeff King.</p> <p>In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joey Swope; a grandson, Lamont Swope; her fianc&eacute;e, Steven Mays; and many aunts and uncles.</p> <p>Per Diana&rsquo;s wishes, a cremation will take place under the direction of BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME &amp; CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE with no services to be held at this time.
