BUSCH, Betty June

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Betty J. Busch at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Friday, April 15, 2022, in her 94th year. Betty was born June 20, 1928 to the late Myrtle (Heatlie) and Rev. Peter Donald Cameron. She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd Busch and sister of Patricia Grey. Betty was the beloved mother of Sherrille Stillar (Gerald) of Nipissing and Cameron Busch (Gail) of North Bay; much-loved grandmother of Ian Busch (Shannon), Lucas Busch (Jocelyn Brown), Jennifer King (Kevin Wright) and Shawn Stillar; and great-grandmother of Finlay, Aila, Rory, Sullivan, Aiden, Bronson and Nathan. Formerly a long-time resident of Nipissing, Betty was an active member of Nipissing Knox United Church, where she played piano and sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 453, Powassan and the Burk’s Falls Arts Club, where she taught painting for many years. A very talented artist, much of Betty’s work hangs in her family’s homes. She loved to travel and always looked forward to Sunday night family dinners. Betty’s last years were spent at the Empire Living Centre, North Bay, where she continued with her art and piano. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Mah, staff at Empire Living Centre, and staff at North Bay Regional Hospital. The Busch family will receive visitors at Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 12:30 to 2:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm. The service will also be live-streamed (see link below). Spring interment will take place at Nipissing Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.
