Robert "Bob" F. DeBose Obituary

Robert F. "Bob" DeBose, 72, resident of Eldorado, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Ferrell Hospital. Bob was born December 19, 1949, in Morganfield, KY, to the late William Henry Walter and Lucy Goldie (Caldwell) DeBose. Bob was a proud father and grandfather who never missed the opportunity to tell his family that he loved them. His hobbies were always showing up to support his kids and grandkids, spending time with his wife, playing cards, and bragging about his family to anyone who would listen. He married the former Judy Fay Patterson, who survives. In addition to his wife, three sons survive him: Bobby DeBose of Eldorado, John (Trisha) DeBose of Eldorado, Joe DeBose of Eldorado, two brothers: Clifford (Joan) DeBose of Harrisburg, Donald (Jan) DeBose of Eldorado, a sister: Dorothy (Leonard) Smith of Wood River and four grandchildren: Brady Hodson, Lincoln DeBose, Cohen DeBose, and Caroline DeBose. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers: Willard, Thomas, Curtis, Frank, J.W., Henry, and four sisters: Lucy Hosman, Billie Sigler, Mary Clark, and Ruby Barnes. The visitation will be at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 4–6 PM, with a short eulogy delivered by his son at 6 PM. Instead of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Eagle Pride Athletics to honor one of Bob's favorite activities, watching his sons and grandchildren play sports. Condolences and expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family via the website www.colonialterracefuneralhome.com
