Lisa D Pannoni Obituary

Lisa D. Pannoni

September 22, 1963 – April 12, 2022

Lisa Dorlen Pannoni, 58, of Albuquerque, NM, was freed from her battle with Multiple System Atrophy on April 12, 2022. It was a long, tough battle but one she never stopped fighting. Through it all Lisa was brave, strong, resilient and selfless.

Lisa was born September 22, 1963 in Washington D.C. She grew up in Alexandria, VA where she met the love of her life, her forever soul mate, Gerry Pannoni. They were married in 1983 and had four children. Through their 38 years of marriage, Lisa enjoyed being a coach’s wife and football mom to thousands of Gerry’s former players. She welcomed any and everyone with open arms and always made them feel like family.

Lisa worked as a nurse for over 20 years. Eighteen of those years were spent in Labor and Delivery at INOVA Alexandria Hospital in Alexandria, VA. Lisa believed that bringing new life into the world gave her great purpose. The lights of her life were her five grandchildren, who served as a beacon of hope for her. She cherished every minute she spent with them.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Gerry Pannoni; four children, PJ Pannoni, Katy (Joe) Callan, Rosie (Mike) Donaldson and Nina Pannoni, her parents Stanette and Woody Nece, sisters Suzy (Fred Reardon) Nece and Aimee Nece, grandchildren Zoe, Scout and Max Callan; Olivia and Bryce Donaldson. Nieces Lily Nece, Izabel Reardon and Andrea Pannoni; Nephew, Alex Pannoni and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Lisa was preceded in death by her biological father Clayton Sherman; grandparents, Esther and Bernie Newman, Stanley Newman and Vera Nece.

Services will be held at St. Therese, The Shrine of the Little Flower Catholic Church (3424 Fourth Street NW, Albuquerque, NM) on Tuesday, April 19. 2022. Viewing 9:30am; Funeral service 10:00am. Flowers can be sent directly to the church or in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the MSA Coalition, https://www.multiplesystematrophy.org/.
