Her Legacy... Agnes June Hutting, 85, passed away April 13, 2022.  She was born on June 24, 1936, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to George Day and Sarah (Goss) Day. June married the love of her life, Bernard Joseph Hutting Jr., on May 2, 1959 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Bernie and June spent almost 50 years together. June grew up on a farm as one of seven children. She was hardworking and successful in her career at A&P Grocery Stores, as well as the Washtenaw County Friend of the Court, from which she retired. June was an extremely generous person who would give to anyone in need. She continued to be highly involved in her family, staying in touch with her siblings and supporting her grandkids’ many activities. She was very proud of her children, as well as her mother’s Irish heritage. June enjoyed Bingo, crocheting, trips to Wampler’s Lake, and snowbirding to Florida in the winter. She was also a very good cook, and enjoyed providing people with superb meals.

Her Family… June will be missed by; her children, Ceanne (Edward) Hare, DeEtte (Tom) Gibbons, Debbra (John) Shorkey, Julie (Matt) Martinchick; sisters, Barbara Carpenter, Rose (Richard) Recchia; grandchildren, Brandon Hare, Kyle (Jen), Ryan and Devin Gibbons, Michael, Danielle, and Angela Shorkey, Sarah Martinchick, Katie Martinchick; niece, Dayna Recchia, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bernie, her brothers, Joe, Liam, and Roger Day, and her parents, George and Sarah Day.

Her Farewell… June’s family and friends will gather Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 3:00pm – 8:00pm, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel in Hamburg, Michigan. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 20, at 11:00am (10am gathering), at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Ypsilanti, Michigan. Father Dan Westermann will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
