Charlie Lee Roseburgh Obituary

Charlie Roseburgh was born August 4, 1953, in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He was the sixth eldest of fifteen siblings. He attended Benton Harbor High School for three years. Then he became a Lasalle High School graduate (class of 1972) in South Bend, Indiana. Charlie enlisted in the United States Army, on July 12, 1974. He served as a Stock Clerk until he was honorably discharged on July 11, 1977.

Besides being a brother, soldier, and father, he had a forgiving spirit that taught those around him to love unconditionally. He enjoyed helping others, especially young children. His love for mentoring motivated him to become a member of the Old Timers Club. The club have functions to raise money for scholarships and donate food for the community. He was also a member of Beautiful Gate Baptist Church in Benton Harbor Mi. and American Legion in Junction City, Ks. Family time was extremely important to Charlie. He loved family gatherings. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie Gean O’Neal -Roseburgh, (March 17, 2008) and William Henry Roseburgh Jr., (June 28, 1970); siblings: Ada Ruth, William Henry Jr., L.C., Sherman L. Roseburgh, and a stillborn child, one niece Tracy Roseburgh and three nephews Juwan Stevens, William A Roseburgh Jr., and William A Roseburgh II; grandparents: William (Doc) and Lizzie Roseburgh Tommie Ruth Smith and Charlie O’Neal; Uncles: George Lacy, Joette Roseburgh, L.C., James Aberson, James Author, Glen Howard, and Henry Clay; Aunts: Margaret Wren, Lular Mae Kelley, Ella Mae Brown, Rosetta Rimpson, Iredell Lacy, and Georgia Richmond, Katie Roseburgh, Alma Roseburgh 

Charlie leaves to cherish his fond memories to his daughter Jessica Walker, Benton Harbor, Mi., grandsons Bryce Walker and Carson Walker, Benton Harbor, Mi., godson Harvey Jerome Champ Jr., Junction City, KS., siblings: Gearldine Roseburgh, Benton Harbor, MI., Darnell Roseburgh, Benton Harbor, MI., Willie Jean (Willie) Williams, Benton Harbor, MI., Linda (Willie) Nash, Benton Harbor, MI., Sheldon (Gail) Roseburgh, Indianapolis, IN., Carvel (Vennise) Roseburgh, Benton Harbor, MI., Bernita Bell, Lithonia, GA., Delaney Roseburgh, Snellville, GA., Inita (Robert) Barton, Tuttle, OK., God-brother Bill Viverett, Pontiac, MI., God-brother Ezell Cox, Benton Harbor, MI., and God-sister Pamela Norwood, Benton Harbor, MI; Aunts: Annie Lenzie, Uncles: Ernest Rimpson and Willie Richmond both Benton Harbor, MI. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
