Diana Karen Kemper

<p>Diana Karen (Nappi) Kemper, 72, of Berlin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 3, 2022.&nbsp; Diana was the wife of her devoted husband, Jeffrey Kemper.&nbsp; Born in New Britain, a daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria (Caporale) Nappi.</p> <p>Diana was a graduate of Windsor Locks High School and then attended the University of Connecticut where she earned her degree. Diana was a Project Engineer at Semac Electric in New Britain and was a manager at several restaurants including Chilis in New Britain and Newington.&nbsp; Di loved golf, kayaking, exploring DC and frequent visits to Disney World, and the Newport Cliff Walk. If there were kids playing, Diana would always be with them. Squirt guns or sleds it didn&rsquo;t matter. She loved her 2 rescue cats Stormy and Cloudy. Diana was adventurous and got married in a hot air balloon. She invented the annual Great Ravioli Festival to have family over to make raviolis from scratch as a way to pass along some traditions and recipes to the younger generation. She was always thinking of others, always volunteering if anyone needed help or on any community projects. She loved to bake and at Christmas would bake dozens of different cookies to give away. Diana was very strong with the Lord and prayed daily, always to help others. Her battle with cancer lasted over 3 years and she fought valiantly every day. She was a shining example of a very good person and was liked by all who met her. Always seeing the good in people. She will be dearly missed.</p> <p>Besides her husband she is survived by her sister: Patricia Williams of North Carolina, her brother: Gene Nappi of South Carolina, her 2 nieces, Jennifer and Kristin and numerous cousins.</p> <p>Diana&rsquo;s favorite charities: Heifer International (provides livestock to poor villages) World Cataract Foundation (curing cataract blindness) Wheelchair Foundation (providing wheel chairs to poor around the world) Hartford Health Care (dept. of Oncology) and St. Paul&rsquo;s Catholic Church (Kensington CT)</p> <p>A service and burial will be announced at a later date.</p>
