Alan K. Fontaine, 70, FRFD, Ret., of Fall River, entered into eternal rest Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital, after an illness.  He was the husband of Diane (Breault) Fontaine.  They shared 26 years of marriage.

A man with a great love for his city and country, Alan served the City of Fall River as a firefighter and driver on Engine 2, and in the Vietnam Era as an Army veteran, serving in Germany.

Alan was a member of the Fall River Rod and Gun Club.

Besides his wife, he leaves two children, Jason Breault and Shelly Breault; three grandchildren, Jason Breault II, Brenden Souza and Aiden Breault; two siblings, William Fontaine and Louise Gardella; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 He was the son of the late Herbert Fontaine and Anna(Kelman) Fontaine and the brother of the late Herbert, Norman, Roger, Wilfred and Robert Fontaine, Gladys Gagne, Anna Smith, Helen Thibault, Jeanne Mello, Joan Lafleur and Barbara Bonas and Maureen Gagnon.
