Ricky Gene Schultz
<p>Ricky Gene Schultz, 70, of Waynesville, NC entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.</p> <p>Ricky was born on May 7, 1951, in Toledo, Ohio. His family moved to Colorado when he was a young boy. He grew up and graduated from Elizabeth High School in Elizabeth, Colorado where he lettered in football, baseball, and basketball. He served in the Army before moving to Florida.</p> <p>In Florida he met his wife, Barbara. They were married in 1994 in a destination wedding in Tennessee by the Pastor who introduced them in church.</p> <p>Ricky retired in 2016 from the State of Florida, Department of Revenue Child Support Enforcement Division. He and Barbara moved to NC where he enjoyed hiking in the Smoky Mountains, loved the beautiful scenery, and appreciated the change of seasons.</p> <p>Ricky will be loving remembered by his wife, Barbara; his son, Bryan Schultz; his daughter-in-law, Laura Schultz; his daughter, Dawn Schultz; his brother, Randy Schultz (Elizabeth Schultz); and many cousins as well as his grandchildren: Allison Schultz, Sophia Schultz, Kyle Alvarez, Valaree Alvarez and Vanessa Alvarez.</p> <p>He was predeceased by his father, Edward Henry Schultz; mother, Pauline Mirrilla Savory and infant granddaughter, Nikita Beasley.</p>Obituary
