<p>Fred E Staats Jr, 68, of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022, at Wheeling Hospital.</p> <p>He was born June 18, 1953, in Steubenville, OH to the late Fred and Helen (Wade) Staats Sr.<br /> In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Staats and mother in-law, Sarah Crouch.</p> <p>Fred worked at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Mingo and the Coke Plant in Follansbee. He enjoyed playing the guitar and making wine. On Sundays, he loved to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers games and&nbsp;baking his famous pies. &nbsp;His true passion was his family. He loved being with family and friends. Fred will be greatly missed!</p> <p>He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Tracy (Crouch) Staats; his son, Brandon (Christy) Staats; two daughters, Jodee (Travis) DeVault and Sarah Staats (Jonathan); a sister, Mary (Adolph) Nagler; Sister in-law, Brenda Staats; eight grandchildren; a nephew; two nieces; his dog, Dollar; his cat, Sissy and his best friend, Jay (Lisa) George.</p> <p>Friends will be received to pay tribute to Fred and celebrate his life on Friday, April 15th, from 2-8, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH and again on Saturday, from 11 am until the time of service of 1pm, with Pastor Jim Monogious officiating.</p> <p>A luncheon will follow the service and the family would like for everyone to join them in fellowship.</p> <p>Online condolences may be offered at www.borkoskifuneralhomes.com</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
