Paul J. Morse

<p>Paul J. Morse was born January 28, 1937 in Providence Kentucky. Born in a small coal mining town in the northwestern corner of Kentucky. He lived in Chicago, Ill for a short period of time. He moved to California in late 1938 and lived on Big Bear Mountain on an Apple Ranch until 1943; moved to Miami, FL. His father worked for Pan American at the Sea Base at Dinner Keys servicing the (Clipper Ships) flying ships. He grew up in Miami during which time traveled back to California 2 times (rough trips during the War) and Washington DC then back to Miami. He graduated from high school in 1955 at the best school in Miami (Miami Edison H.S.). He attended Miami-Dade Community College and Barry University Dale-Carnegie Motivational and Public Speaking Grad. He married Eva Sue Perkins in 1957. He was father to Paul, Jr., Donald and Michael; grandfather to three wonderful grandchildren; Janelle, Kayla and Zachary. Mr. Morse accepted the Lord in 1958 and was Baptist.</p> <p>He served in the Florida Army National Guard as a Sergeant in the 48th Armored Division for 7 years.</p> <p>The Unit was activated during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. He then went to work in aviation for an aircraft engine company, Aerodex Inc Holder of a FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic License. Worked at Aerodex as a Superintendent for 15 years in a critical occupation during the Vietnam War. Holder of a FAA Private Pilot License, commuted daily from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale International Airport flying a Cessna 150. In 1970 he started an Aircraft Maintenance company (Business Airmotive Service Corporation) in Ft. Lauderdale , FL performing aircraft repairs on large industrial and large multi-engine reciprocating engine aircraft. Performed repairs on large industrial gas turbines (Jet Engines) for FPL. Sold business in 1973. Jointed FPL as a Asst. Plant Engineer at the Port Everglades Power Station supervising maintenance of 24 large industrial gas turbine generating units. Worked at Port Everglades for 13 years as Asst. Superintendent and Superintendent in charge of maintenance of 1200 MW of Large Steam Generation equipment. Superintendent at Turkey Point Power Station for 4 years. Worked at various other power stations and corporate offices as a Manager of Power plant Overhauls in the Northern Division of FPL.</p>
