The family farm house was his life-long home. Frank was born on April 12, 1943, the son of the late Eugene V. and Martha O. Lambert Furner. He went to school at North Brookfield Union School and later graduated from Waterville Central High School. Frank went on to further his education at Morrisville Agricultural and Technical College. He graduated in the top of his class, with an associate degree in agriculture. Frank dedicated his life to farming and raising cattle. It was a life-long skill, from when he was a little boy, until his body forced him to retire; he had a profound knowledge of farm management. On August 31, 1968, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, he married his soulmate, Linda P. Ditch. Linda was a devoted farm wife, balancing the duties of wife, mother and farmer until her passing on June 24, 2019. Frank had a great love for the family farm and especially the beauty of Mill Hill Road. He rarely left the hill for trips or vacation. The hill and his farm were his places of comfort. He did venture off the hill, yearly to go camping in the Adirondacks with family. It was a special time for Frank and life-long memories were made on these camping adventures. Frank held deeply rooted Catholic religious beliefs and was a parishioner of St. Bernard's Catholic Church. Frank was also valued in the community, serving as a role model for many younger generations. Frank enjoyed playing pitch with family and friends; he also had a great love of fishing and baseball, especially the Boston Red Sox. People would say that Frank was a hardworking, kind and humble man. He always was willing to give people the benefit of the doubt. Frank's life-long principles were God, Family and Farming. These guiding principles that he bestowed upon his children and grandchildren will be passed down to the next generations.Frank is survived by his beloved children: Dan Furner (Melanie) of North Brookfield, Mike Furner (Kelly) of Waterville, Jennifer Collins (Curtis) of North Brookfield, Sarah Nelson (David) of North Brookfield, Cara Youker (Scott) of Cocoa, FL.
