Mark D. ThompsonWest Winfield-Mark D. Thompson, 57, passed away at his home on January 18, 2022, following a lengthy illness.He was born on March 20, 1964, in East Stroudsburg, PA, the son of the late George Krum and Nancy Thompson. He was raised and attended high school in Stroudsburg, PA. In later years, Mark relocated to the Richfield Springs area. On September 7, 2004 in Oneonta, he married Rhonda Hoppe. He had a talent for anything with a motor, and was a self-employed auto mechanic. He had previously work at the Lake Front Restaurant in Cooperstown. Mark was a loving husband and father, he was always there for family, no matter the need.Mark is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Rhonda; his children: Kristina Cheek, Reaves Kimbell, Shelia Thompson-Alverson, Matthew Thompson, Racheal Thompson, Tina Blackmore, Kristin Thompson and Eugene Thompson; his brothers: Glen Thompson, Troy Krum, Bruce Krum, and David Krum; his step sister Patty Krum; 24 grandchildren; many uncles, aunts, cousins, and close friends.He was predeceased by his parents, George and Nancy, and his beloved daughter, Roxanne Thompson.Calling hours for Mark will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 2-4 PM, at the Paul Funeral Home, 10426 Church Street, Brookfield. A prayer service will follow the calling hours. Interment services will be private in the spring. Mark's family have entrusted their care to Jeffrey T. Paul, Director.
