Donald Hugh Brady Jr., 82, of Brookfield, NY passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at The Lutheran Home in Clinton, NY, surrounded by his loved ones after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. In addition to his regular full-time jobs, Mr. Brady was an avid entrepreneur; always having a business venture or adventure for spare time and weekends to earn more money for his family. In June 1976, he married Carol McCoy White. Together they formed Brady Enterprises, selling fish from their truck in New Hartford Shopping Center, a Clam Booth concession selling raw and steamed clams at firemen's field days and fairs throughout the area and a tent rental business for parties and graduations. In latter years, they had a craft booth at Clinton and Hamilton Farmer's Market.Mr. Brady is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Carol, his children Patricia (Weigel) and Peter Franz of New Hartford, NY, Patrick and Pattie Brady of Brookfield, NY, Scott and Christine Brady of Port St. Lucie, FL, Shari and David Greenbaum of Owings Mills, MD, his step-children Gary and Amy White of Whitesboro, NY, Jeffrey White of Utica, NY, Thomas and Judy White of Madison, NY, Katheryn and Michael Ellsworth of Brookfield, NY, Rebecca and Mark Williams of West Winfield, NY, and his brother, Richard and Nancy Brady of Oriskany Falls, NY. He was a great fun-loving, caring Grandpa or "Pops" to a blended family group of 21 grandchildren and 25 great grands. He will be greatly missed.
