Colton Christopher Bonen, 16, passed away unexpectedly on April 10, 2022.

Colton was born in Galion, Ohio on April 14, 2005 to Christopher Bonen and Erica (Rose) Bonen both of Galion.

He was passionate about nature and loved being outdoors especially fishing. Colton had a heart to make those around him laugh, as he enjoyed the sounds of laughter that he brought to others. Colton adored his two canine companions, "Dixie" and "Daisy".

In addition to his parents, Colton is survived by his stepmother, Rachel Garver and stepfather Ryan Nelson; eight siblings, Ashley Sullivan of Coppenhagen, New York, Hali (Josh Smith) Bonen, of Galion, Easton Nelson, of Galion, Detryk Cornell, of Galion, Elana Cornell, of Galion, Skyla Nelson, of Grove City, Briar Nelson, of Grove City and Raymond Nelson of Galion.

Friends may call on Monday, April 18, 2022, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the Mark A. Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way N., Galion. Service will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Celebrant LeAnne Gompf officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
