Robert "Bob" Louis Bueltell Obituary

Robert “Bob” Louis Bueltell was born November 29, 1933 in Yuma County, Colorado, he was the middle child of Anton and Frances (Worley) Bueltell. Bob had three older sisters and a younger brother and two sisters. 

Bob attended school at Schramm through the eighth grade, skipping a grade so he could be in the same grade as his twin sisters.  He finished his schooling at Yuma Union High School graduating in 1951.  Following graduation he worked at various jobs. 

In May of 1955 he married Thelma Higgins they made their home in Denver for a short time.  In 1957 they moved to Chicago where Bob attended Diesel Injection School.  Upon returning to Colorado he joined the Number 9 Union and started following road construction for some time.  They finally returned to Yuma where he did farming, carpentry work, managed American Fertilizer, sold real estate for Goodman Realty and later getting his own semi-truck, he drove the truck for the remaining of his working years. 

To this union a daughter, Pam was born in 1956 and a son, Nathan in 1961. 

Bob enjoyed flying model airplanes, racing his stock car #00 in which he won several races, arrowhead hunting, fishing, camping, waterskiing with his family.  He also coached T-Ball, helped with Boy Scouts Pinewood Derby, chaperoned 4-H outings and helped organize Pheasants Forever organization.  One of his favorite pastimes was making wooden toys for the little kids. 

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Anton and Frances Bueltell; four sisters and his son, Nathan and son-in law, Walt McClung.

Bob leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Thelma of sixty-six years; daughter, Pam McClung; grandsons, Christopher McLung of Yuma, Colorado and Brian and wife, Lauren McClung great granddaughters, Calliope and Loxley all from San Luis, Colorado; brother, Donnie Bueltell; sister, Karen Whitman  of Yuma along with many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Memorial Service – Monday, April 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Baucke Funeral Chapel in Yuma, Colorado with Pastor Chris Mulder officiating.  Inurnment will follow at the Yuma Cemetery.  In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
