Roy Eugene Sipe, 69, of Mount Vernon, died Sunday, April 10, 2022, at The Ohio State University, in Columbus.
Roy was born June 8, 1952, in Mansfield, Ohio to Leroy J. and Maxine {Reed}Sipe.
Roy graduated from Mansfield Madison Senior High and spent four years in the United States Army with the rank of E-4.
He married Ondalee (Watkins) Roberts-Sipe on May 18, 2001.  
Roy worked at Gerstenslager in Wooster, Ohio, and retired from International Paper in Mount Vernon, Ohio. He spent the last few years as a driver for Knox Area Transit. He attended the Lakeholm Church of the Nazarene.  Roy enjoyed camping with his family, long trips in their motor home, and time with friends and family.
Roy will be deeply missed by his wife Ondalee; step-daughter, Lori (Tim) Lybarger; grandchildren, Collin, Rylin, Seth, Annabelle, Max, and Lulabelle.
Sisters, Karene Carsey, Linda Merle, and Nancy Kay Sipe.
Roy was preceded in death by his brothers, Randy Lee Sipe and Ray Alen Sipe, parents Leroy and Maxine Sipe, and step-son Sean Michael Roberts.
Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home- Mount Vernon Chapel, Mount Vernon.  Funeral services with military honors will follow at 6:00 p.m. with pastor Jason Harding officiating.  Private burial will be at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.  Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.  In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests a memorial contribution be made to The Church of God 13160 Henry Road Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050.
