<p>James (Jimmy) Monroe Rumfelt, 72, of York, SC passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.</p> <p>A graveside service will be held with Lakeview Memory Gardens on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 2:00 PM.</p> <p>Jimmy was born on March 11, 1950 in York, SC. He was the son of the late Monroe Rumfelt and Hazel Bailes Rumfelt. He was a member of Living Waters Presbyterian Church of Clover, SC and a veteran of the U S NAVY.</p> <p>Jimmy is survived his daughters, Tracy Mitchell of Myrtle Beach, SC Robin Crawford Baker of York, SC, His grandchildren, Elexis Mitchell and Skyler Rumfelt of Myrtle Beach, SC, Roxanne Carroll, of York, SC. His great grandchildren, Layla Burris, of Myrtle Beach, SC &nbsp;Baker Carroll of York, SC. Roselyn Blackmon of Kings Mountain, NC.</p> <p>In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Larimer Rumfelt.</p> <p>In memory of Jimmy Rumfelt, memorials may be made to Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 993 Rock Hill, SC 29731 or to the VFW Post 12136 Honor Guard 2063 Kennedy Dr. Indian Land 29707.</p> <p>Online condolences may be made to the family at www.brattonfuneralhome.com.</p> <p>Bratton Funeral Home in York, SC is serving the Rumfelt family.</p>

I worked with Jim at Cato. He was a great boss and a great person. Jim worked you hard, but he was always fair. Jim, you are missed. Prayers to the family.

I was a classmate of Jimmys. I didnt know him very well but he seemed like a gentle soul and had the sweetest smile. Prayers for his family. Rest In Peace Jimmy.

Jimmy was a good friend in high school and one of the few classmates I had intermittent contact with after high school Jimmy was at Divine Savior in 1977 when my Mom passed. He was a great comfort at a very difficult time. My wholehearted condolences to Jimmy's family.
