Doris Weekley Owens

Doris Weekley Owens, 86, of Iron Station passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Stanley Total Living Center. She was born August 23, 1935 in Parkersburg, WV to the late Thayer and Lena Sams Weekley. Doris was a member of Friendly Chapel Baptist Church in Maiden. She loved God, her family and her church family. Doris enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, quilting, using a chainsaw, being outside, and working. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Owens; son, Brian Owens; daughter, Melissa Conaway; grandsons, Andrew Mullins, Jesse Owens, Dustin Owens, Nathan Honaker; and many sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. Those left to cherish her memory are; Son: Kevin Owens and wife Marti of Beckley, WV Daughter: Teresa Weaver of Iron Station Sisters: Janie Sampson of Parkersburg, WV Sandra Brentlinger of Parkersburg, WV Grandchildren: Jeremy Mullins (Cassandra), Teri Tolbert (Frankie), Joshua Mullins (Lisa), Trista Wade (Mike), Lori Owens, Talisha Comer (Nat), Jamie Honaker (Mindy) Great-Grandchildren: Chasity, Bryan, Nick, Jacob, Makaelah, Marcus, Treonna, Evea, Maria, Faith, Madison, Lydia, Ethan, Hayden, Brantley, Colby, Kelsie, Payton, Jada, and Jacquelyn Great-Great-Grandchildren: Kamden, Karson, Lian, Abram, Scarlett and Baby Springs The family would like to thank the staff of Stanley Total Living Center for all of their love and care of Doris while she was there for rehabilitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
