<p>Bruce D. Allen, 97, of Linton, Indiana, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, April 7, 2022 in Newburgh, Indiana. He was born on December 6, 1924 in Linton to Andrew S. and Mamie (Heacox) Allen. Bruce married Amelia M. (Calvert) Allen on June 3, 1944 and after her passing, he found love again and married Henrietta (Pouchain) Storms Allen on November 13, 2001.</p> <p>Bruce was a US Army Veteran, serving during World War II. He was a former member of the Linton Civitan Club and worked at Prudential Life Insurance Company as an insurance agent, retiring in 1990 with 21 years of service. Bruce enjoyed traveling, driving to any destination and motorcycle riding. He loved watching Westerns and Sports.</p> <p>Family left to cherish the memories of Bruce include: one son, Brad (Carolyn) Allen of Newburgh; one daughter, Pamela (Ted) Cooper of Panama City Beach, FL; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.</p> <p>Bruce was preceded in death by: his parents; first wife, Amelia M. Allen; second wife, Henrietta Storms Allen; brother, Freddie Allen and sister, Mildred Butler.</p> <p>Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM (EST) on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Pastor David Tyra officiating. Bruce will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.</p> <p>Family and friends may call from 12 Noon (EST) until the time of service at 2:00 PM (EST) on Wednesday at the funeral home.</p> <p>Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer&rsquo;s Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.</p> <p>Arrangements and care have been entrusted to Meng Family Funeral Homes, Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton.
