Marilyn Marie Riley

<p>Marilyn P. Riley, 91, of Middletown passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Middletown Nursing and Rehab Center in Middletown. &nbsp;She was born on November 26, 1930, a daughter of the late Howard and Edith V. (Pence) Pullin.</p> <p>Marilyn was a 1948 graduate of Middletown High School.&nbsp; She also attended Ball State University.&nbsp; After surviving polio in 1953, Marilyn worked for a local insurance agency. &nbsp;She ran the Middletown License Branch for several years, then 28 years later she retired from Ameriana Bank formerly known as Henry County Savings and Loan.</p> <p>Marilyn was a member of Cross Roads Lutheran Church until it closed in 2001, she then became a member of the Sixth Street Christian Church, where she crocheted over 200 lap throws.&nbsp; She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.</p> <p>Marilyn is survived by her 2 daughters, Ginny (Bob) Hess and Cindy (Bob) Fox; a grandson, Brandon (Brittany) Fox; a granddaughter, Shea (Greg) Buck; 3 great grandchildren, Elijah, Preston and Quinn Fox; a cousin, Jill (Rod) Graham which she spent several winters in Florida with, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.</p> <p>In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Calvin &ldquo;Shorty&rdquo; Riley.</p> <p>Services will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday April 13, 2022 at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown with Michelle Brown officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery.&nbsp; Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Eastern Star services will be at 10:30 am.&nbsp; Memorial contributions may be given to the Sixth Street Christian Church, 146 N. 6th Street, Middletown, IN 47356.
