Willetta Ruth Nations Willetta Ruth Nations, nee Coughlin, 85, formerly of East St. Louis, IL, and Crystal Beach TX, died Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Jefferson House Nursing Home, Beaumont, TX. Mrs. Nations was born in St. Louis, MO, and lived in East St. Louis, IL and Highland, IN before moving to Texas. She was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes in Vidor, and later, St. Therese of Lisieux in Crystal Beach. Mrs. Nations was also an accomplished water color artist who delighted in providing her children and grandchildren with her paintings and in sending her hand painted cards to family and friends for Christmas. Willetta was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, James L. Nations, whom she married on August 25, 1950, a son, Michael Nations, and her parents, Grace and Cornelius Coughlin. Surviving Mrs. Nations are her daughter, Theresa (Richard) Brown of Freeland, MI, and sons, James (Fran) Nations of Port Neches, TX, and Dennis (Shellie) Nations of Winnie, TX, eight grandchildren - Christopher (Carrie) Brown of Rochester Hills, MI, Andrew (Jennifer) Brown of Freeland, MI, Nondi (Eric) Murnane of Orlando, FL, Carla (Jacob) Grimes of Port Neches, TX, Misti (Bill) Robinson of Kingwood, TX, Randi (Brian) Pinder of Winnie, Tx, Amber (Cody) Roberts of Bridge City, TX and Jamie (Jose) Gonzalez of Winnie, TX. Mrs. Nations also had 12 great-grandchildren - Evan, Ryan and Colin Brown, Harper Grimes, Luke, Emily & Abigail Robinson, Kinley Pinder, Steelye and Baelyn Roberts, and Maxxen Lee Smith and Leo James Gonzalez. She also has a brother, Cornelius (Wilma) Coughlin of St. Louis, MO, and a sister, Mary Coughlin, of Tampa, FL, and a brother-in-law, Robert (Rosie) Nations of Fairview Heights, IL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches with Reverend Monsignor Kenneth Greig officiating. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.
