<p>Jean Haberl, 65, of Shenandoah, passed away on April 5th at 1:50AM at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, after battling pancreatic cancer.</p> <p>Jean, fondly known as Jeanie or Momma Jean, was born on July 13th, 1956, in Chester, PA to the late John and Josephine Whittaker.&nbsp;</p> <p>Jean was the middle child of five siblings; Johnny, Jimmy, Billy, Sandy, and predeceased by David.&nbsp; She had a childhood pet goose, Georgie, she was very fond of.&nbsp; Jean was educated at Sun Valley High School in Delaware County.&nbsp; She had four children: Lydia Stokes and Gregor Woodruff of Pottsville, and Alan Haberl and Emma Foresman of Shenandoah.&nbsp; She also had four grandchildren: James, Serenity, Josh, and Jasmine.</p> <p>Jean moved to Shenandoah around 1999 and had since become a large part of the community by taking over the local Schuylkill County food pantry.&nbsp; She was dedicated to the cause for the better part of 20 years.&nbsp; Alongside managing the food pantry, she liked to spend time gardening and listening to Imagine Dragons.</p> <p>A public memorial service will be held for Jean on Wednesday, April 13th from 6 to 8pm at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jean Haberl, 65, of Shenandoah, passed away on April 5th at 1:50AM at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, after battling pancreatic cancer.

Jean, fondly known as Jeanie or Momma Jean, was born on July 13th, 1956, in Chester, PA to the late John and Josephine Whittaker.
