Michael Lindsay, 55, of the Forest Grove community, died Thursday, April 7, 2022 at his home. MICHAEL CLARK LINDSAY was born on December 12, 1966 to Carole Jean (Riley) Lindsay and Clark Eugene Lindsay in Portland, Oregon. His family moved to Albany, Oregon in 1972 where he became a beloved member of that community. He graduated from West Albany High School in 1985, playing football on their varsity team for four years. Upon graduation, he attended Linfield College, moving to Oregon State University where he graduated with a degree in Chemistry in 1990. That summer he married Brenda Alison Kropp on August 4, 1990. They celebrated their 31st Wedding Anniversary this past August. They moved to Newberg, Oregon, and in 1991 moved onto Kirkland, Washington where Mike worked for Analytical Technologies, Inc. In 1992, Mike began working as a chemist for Tokyo Ohka Kogyo America Inc and continued his career with them for 30 years, eventually becoming the Senior Vice President. He considered his TOK colleagues to be his extended family. Mike enjoyed spending time with family and friends; especially cooking and barbecuing amazing meals for them. He enjoyed the opportunity to travel in both his career and personal life. He also enjoyed seeking out the sun, eventually purchasing a second home in Chandler, Arizona. He loved caring for his dog, “Dylan”, his faithful companion. He was preceded in death by his father, Clark Eugene Lindsay. Mike is survived by his mother Carole Lindsay, of Hillsboro, Oregon; his wife Brenda Lindsay, of the family home in Forest Grove, Oregon; his son and daughter-in-law, Ian Michael and Imani Lindsay, of Portland, Oregon; his two daughters. Rileyanne Margaret Lindsay, of Forest Grove, Oregon and Hannah Louise Lindsay, of Forest Grove, Oregon; his mother-in-law, Helen Kropp, of Albany, Oregon and his two sisters-in-law and a spouse, Laurie and Steven Geissler, of Albany, Oregon and Leslie Cheney, of Albany, Oregon. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins. The family suggests that remembrances may be contributions to Providence Hospice, 6410 N.E.
