David J. Furtaw, 65, of Painesville, OH, passed away suddenly due to natural causes Saturday afternoon at his home. He was born in Bell, KY on September 11th, 1956 to the late John and Frances (Whitehead) Furtaw.

He was a U.S Army veteran who worked as a foreman for many years. David loved playing board and card games with his friends. He also left behind his beloved dog and companion, Tara.

David will be greatly missed by: his children, Shelly(Robert) Dubois, Meredith Furtaw, Melanie Furtaw; his step children, Alan (Elizabeth) Clinger man, Melissa Clingerman; many nieces and nephews; many grand and great grand children; brother, Virgil (Regina) Furtaw; sisters, Julie Johnson, Patricia (Tony) Carlucci; and many friends.

He is proceeded in death by: his parents, John and Frances; brother, Bill and wife, Mary Stokes; sisters, Lynn and husband, Richard Clifton, Mae and husband, Frank Geistle; and brother-in-law, Tom Johnson.

Per David's wishes, a private burial will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
