Yvonne McGreevy Obituary

Yvonne Irene McGreevy, age 70, of Russia, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Fair Haven Nursing Home in Sidney.  She was born on July 3, 1951 in Russia, OH, to the late Harold and Rita (Kaiser) McGreevy.

Yvonne is survived by two sisters: Ellen (Gary) Yinger of Sidney, and Clarette (Dennis) McCain of Waynesville; brother: Neil (Cheryl) McGeevy of Newport; nephew: Eric (Michelle) Simon; nieces: Traci (Thomas) Rossiter, Stefani Yinger and Jodi Ponciano; and great nieces and great nephews: Gage, Kalynn, Bethany, Ericka, Brian, Ryan, Rick and Sarah.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by  her fiancé: Richard Harmon; and three brothers: William Fabian, Patrick McGreevy and Wayne McGreevy.

Yvonne was a graduate of Russia High School.  She then studied business at Sinclair College in Dayton.  She was deeply involve in the textile industry before founding Piqua Industrial Cut and Sew in 1995, which is still in operation.  Yvonne was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church in Russia.  She also attended St. Boniface Catholic Church in Piqua.  Yvonne enjoyed being outdoors, flowers and gardening.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at St. Remy Catholic Church in Russia with Fr. Martin Fox as celebrant.  Burial will follow in St. Remy Cemetery in Russia.  There will be no calling hours.
