Arnold Lee "AK" Kennedy went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 4, 2022. H was born on January 1, 1941 to Clifton Alton Kennedy and Nettie Mae Abshire.
Arnold was a mechanic for many years and could fix anything with a motor. He loved his family dearly and loved hearing stories about his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Terry Jean Sparks, son, Matthew Scott Kennedy, one grandchild, Brenda LeJean, four brothers, Lonnie Kennedy, Roger Lamb, Charles Lamb, and Donnie Lamb. One sister Judy Kennedy Dawson. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Christy (Dean) Washburn of Perkins, Brenda (Quitman) Hall of Louisiana, and son Tony (Markeeta) Taber of Liitle Axe and one sister, Violet (Nolan) Roberts of Shawnee. Grandchildren include Ashlee (Wes) May, Rowdy Washburn, Lynzie (Tommy) Ellis, Stephanie (Chavez) Jones, Bryan Washburn, Scott (Jasmine) Kennedy, Hunter Kennedy, Kayla Kennedy, Natasha Smith, Shane Martin, and Amber Litchfield, and spouse, Rachel (Brad) Kipf, Heather (Brad) Holden, and many others he never got to meet. 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Thank to Mercy Hospital and Hospice staff as well as SSM hospital and Shawnee Care Center. A memorial service is planned for Friday, April 8, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Brown's Family Funeral Home Chapel in McLoud.
