Mr. William (B) Bean, age 83, of Murray, Kentucky, died at 8:30 PM Monday, March 10, 2008, at his residence.

Mr. Beane was born August 12, 1924 in Calloway County, Kentucky. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church, retired supervisor with Essex Wire Company, and he enjoyed farming and camping.

Mr. Beane was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Rubene (Lassiter) Beane; parents, Rufus & Effie (Turner) Beane; sons, William Gary Beane & Kenneth Darrell Beane; sister, Vivian Sliger; brothers, James Beane & Truman Beane.

He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Sledd (Russell), Judy Downey (Kenneth), and Debbie Morris; his sons, Mark Beane (Pam) and Keith Beane (Virginia); sister, Mary Louise Brooks; brother, Linzy Beane (Ann); twelve grandchildren; one step grandchild; twenty great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Friday at the York Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Barnett Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
