Lancaster-Victor Gagne, 59, died on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, in HealthAlliance – Clinton Hospital, Leominster after a period of failing health.
Victor was born in Leominster on October 25, 1962, a son of the late Joseph Wilfred Gagne and Rose Ann Marie (Veneziano) Gagne Briggs of Fitchburg.
Victor was raised in Leominster and Fitchburg and was a 1980 graduate of Fitchburg High School. Shortly after high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Victor served his country honorably for four years during which time he became a demolition expert. For many years, Victor worked at area restaurants as a short order cook including, Rendezvous in Fitchburg, Mickey’s in Lunenburg, and Athens in Leominster. He loved everything from Italy, especially clothing and shoes and could often been seen wearing the Italian flag. Victor enjoyed painting religious items, and his real passion was working out and lifting weights. He especially cherished time spent with his family.
In addition to his mother, Victor leaves his two children, Dillon Bunker and Ruby Bunker both of Gardner; his grandchildren, Draven, Abriana, Sophia and Preston; his sister, Donna Gagne of Fitchburg; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to his father, Victor was predeceased by his mother’s husband, Robert Briggs.
You are invited to attend a calling hour on Monday, April 11, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM in the Smith-Mallahy-Masciarelli and the Fitchburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 243 Water Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420.
His Funeral with Military Honors will be held inside the funeral home following visitation at 11:00 AM.
Burial will be held at a later date in St. Bernard Cemetery, Fitchburg.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Victor’s memory be made to The American Diabetes Association, PO Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
