Joshua C. Cudworth Obituary

Joshua C. Cudworth, 22, of Alfred passed away unexpectedly on Saturday April 2, 2022 at Southern Maine Health Care in Sanford.

He was born on November 24, 1999 to Bill and Marianne (Jess) Cudworth in Biddeford.  He grew up in Alfred and attended local schools, graduating from Massabesic High School.  Joshua was working his way through college courses at York County Community College.

He enjoyed working with his dad doing electrical work until his father became ill and was unable to continue to work. At this time, Josh turned his attention to helping his mother take care of his father.

He was a fan of music. He was invested in all the components of music and would speak about the meaning behind the lyrics. He would offer insight to the song and how the lyrics related to a period in the musician’s life.  This also translated to his sense of fashion. Josh was always fashionably dressed, with great hair and amazing shoes. He had an extensive collection of sneakers, and they all had a place in his closet.

He enjoyed his time with family and visits from his nephews. Josh had a very special bond with his mother Marianne. They were the best of friends.  The two had an inseparable bond as they were taking care of his father. Together they adapted their lives to best suit the needs of his dad.

Josh recently became a father with a daughter of his own.  From the moment Josh saw Scarlette, he was in love. In pictures, his pride of being her dad can be seen.

He is survived by a large family which includes his parents, his siblings Mandy Morin of Springvale, Melanie Laverriere and her husband Jim of Alfred, Peter Neumayer and his wife Carrie of St. Albans, Amy Gendron and her significant other Brandon Kimble of Sanford, Stacy Stark of Springvale, John Neumayer of Arizona, Kerry Levesque and her husband Evan of Springvale, Jeffrey Neumayer and his significant other Jacee of Somersworth and Billy Cudworth and his wife Megan of Acton and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with brief remembrance at 3:30 at the Springvale Social Club, 22 Bridge St., Springvale.

Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
