<p>Louis Francis Orr, age 79 of North Pole, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.</p> <p>Louis was born on July 28, 1942 in San Diego, CA to Leo and Lucille Orr. After graduating from high school, Louis served his county honorably in the US Navy serving in Vietnam, earning the National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal.</p> <p>Louis was married Sylvia C. Orr on August 27, 1982 in Fairbanks and she preceded him in death. Louis was a very giving man and loved to help those in need whether it was for food and clothing or their education.</p> <p>Louis is survived by his 5 children and their spouses, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.</p> <p>Louis will be laid to rest at Northern Lights Memorial Park at a later date with his family.&nbsp;</p>

I'll always remember Lou for his cheerful smiles and happy disposition. I never heard him complain, even when it seemed he wasn't doing great. He loved the the kids and always referred to Grace as "Amazing Grace". I look forward to seeing his smile and seeing Sylvia too ... Continue Reading
