Bonnie Sue Kibbey Obituary

Bonnie Sue Kibbey, 42, (January 25, 1980 – April 1, 2022) of Lebanon, Maine passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022 after a brief illness.

She left a legacy of living her life for her love of the Lord. She was a sweet young woman who brought pleasure to all who knew her. Bonnie texted and/or called all her family and many friends every day to tell them she loved them and wish them a wonderful day. Bonnie had a great friend in her dog, Buddy. He will remain with family for his life.

Bonnie was a graduate in the class of 2000 from Noble High School in Berwick, ME. She accomplished so much in her short life. She loved to learn new things. She enjoyed belly dancing, skydiving, was a wonderful bowler, ranked in Taekwondo and was a gold, silver and bronze medalist in the Special Olympics. Bonnie enjoyed traveling, her many trips included three cruises and trips across the US to Florida/Florida Keys, Texas, Tennessee, Nevada, Colorado, and Hawaii. Bonnie was a proud long-time employee of Bonanza in Sanford, ME for 13 years until their closing in 2020.

Bonnie always found the best in everyone. Her personality was contagious. Bonnie lived every day to its fullest.

Bonnie is survived by her mother, Karen Ahl and stepfather, Scott Ahl of Medina, TX. Her father, Gerald Kibbey, Sr. of Livermore, ME. As well as her three brothers, Ian Barth and dear friend Deborah Conley of Rochester, NH; Gerald Kibbey and partner Mariah Bellington of Lebanon, ME; and Andrew Kibbey of Lebanon, Me. Bonnie had a very large extended family of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, and Nephews, too numerous to be listed but all were loved by her.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 7th, at the New Covenant Baptist Church located at 285 Maple Street in North Berwick.  A luncheon will be held at the church immediately following the services.

The family welcomes donations to Special Olympics as an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers.

Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
