<p>Janet Lee Howard, 85, of Chesterfield passed away Sunday April 3, 2022 at Millers Merry Manor in Chesterfield.&nbsp; She was born on August 4, 1936 in Madison County, IN, a daughter of the late Mary (Pursley) Goodwin.</p> <p>Janet was a 1954 graduate of Anderson High School and in 1955 married the love of her life, Donald Howard.&nbsp; She was a faithful member of the South Meridian Church of God.&nbsp; Janet was an avid cross stitcher and reader and belonged to some book clubs over the years. She also loved to play Bunco and was a member of a Bunco club.&nbsp; Janet had a love for Boston Terriers; she had a total of 6 Boston Terriers over the years, her last being, Dolly.</p> <p>Janet is survived by her daughter Vicki (Jeff) Chase; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; special niece, Pam Darst; like family friend, Brenda (Brent) Smock; caregivers, John Broadwater and Rihanna Wise.</p> <p>In addition to her mother, Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Don Howard; daughter, Patti Safford; sister, Eileen Brumback; brother, Norman Goodwin Sr.; special friends of over 50 years, Don and Joan Brann; little dog, Dolly.</p> <p>Services will be held at 1:00pm Friday April 8, 2022 at the South Meridian Church of God with Pastor Steve Wimmer officiating. Burial will follow at Bronnenberg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flower, memorial contributions may be given to the Boston Terrier Rescue at www.bostonterrier.rescue me.org.
