It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Sarah Harriet Evans of Grand le Pierre announces her passing. Sarah passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022, at the age of 74. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her children, Gregory Evans (Natasha) of Terrenceville and Josephine Evans (Roderick) of Grand le Pierre; grandchild Clifton; great nephews, Tyson and Tyrone; brother Mark Bolt (Veronica) of Grand le Pierre; sisters, Dinah Hickey of Winterland, Whillimena Evans (Gilbert) of Grand le Pierre; sisters-in-law, Jessie Bolt of Grand le Pierre, Ida Pierce of Harbour Breton, Gladys Dicks of Port aux Basques; brothers-in-law, Eli Wilson (Beatrice) of Grand le Pierre, Leo Evans (Kim) of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Freeman Evans of Harbour Breton; and her forever special cat fur baby, Poppy; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.

Sarah was predeceased by her husband Clyde Evans; parents John T. & Mary Hanna Bolt; parents-in-law Wilson & Elizabeth Evans; brothers, Andrew Bolt and David Bolt (Anne); brothers-in-law, Charles Hickey, Walter Pierce, Arthur Evans (Marion); sister-in-law Loretta Strickland.

Sarah loved her darts, cards and bingo but no greater then her love for everyone, either young or old. Her door was always open, especially for the children who she always had a treat for. She will be greatly missed in our community of Grand le Pierre.

The Evans Family will be accepting visitors at St. Thomas Anglican Church, Grand Le Pierre on Monday, April 4th, 2022 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Tuesday, April 5th, 2022 from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. Sarah's funeral service will take place at St. Thomas Anglican Church, Grand Le Pierre on Wednesday, April 6th, 2022 at 2:00 pm with interment to follow at St. Thomas Anglican Cemetery.

In Sarah's memory, donations may be made to the Burin Peninsula SPCA. Flowers gratefully accepted.
