Florence R. Ness, 90 of Green Bay passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022 at her home.

Florence was born on December 22, 1931 in Oneida to Edward and Marie Vanden Heuvel. She was a graduate of Green Bay West High School. On December 23, 1950 she married Marvin G. Ness Sr., he preceded her in death on April 5, 2009. For 35 years she was a supervisor at R R Donnelley prior to her retirement.

Florence was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Brewers, Tiger Woods and the NFL Draft. She also loved cooking. Our favorites included chili, roast beef, homemade bread and her cream puffs. Florence was a dedicated and exceptional mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who cherished the time she spent with her family.

(Joanne)Vanden Heuvel and Eugene (Sally)Vanden Heuvel; a special nephew and wife Dale (Shirley) Morrow; and her beloved four-legged baby: Rosie. She is further survived by extended family, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Florence was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Marie Vanden Heuvel; her husband: Marvin Sr., sister Maggie (Bill)Morrow; brothers Carl (Luella)Vanden Heuvel, Sonny (MaryJane)Vanden Heuvel; in-laws: George and Lillian Ness, Arlene (Val)Reinhard, Earl (Norma)Ness, Harland (Marie)Ness, and best friend: Betty Blaszyck.

A Mass of Christian burial to celebrate Florence's life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 9th St., with Rev. Patrick Beno officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Florence will be laid to rest at Fort Howard Memorial Park.
