LOWVILLE – Paul E. Gyore, 77, of River Road, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, April 2, 2022, at Lewis County General Hospital.
A Funeral Mass will be said at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Lowville, with Rev. Deepak Baru officiating. There will be no calling hours. A luncheon at 3G Fire Department will immediately follow the funeral Mass, all are welcome. Any food donations may be taken directly to 3G Fire Department any time after 9:00 a.m. that morning. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Beaches Bridge Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lewis County Humane Society, P.O. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Tracy and Jennifer Gyore of Lowville; four grandchildren, Bret Gyore (Breezy), Matthew Gyore, Hannah Gyore and Tyler Gyore; great grandchildren, Sorynn and Jurgynn Gyore; a sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Kevin Waterman of Lyons Falls; a brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Susan Gyore of Glenfield; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Paul is predeceased by his beloved wife of 51 years, Patricia A. Gyore, who passed away on November 16, 2015; his parents; his step-father, Arthur Cavanaugh; and a brother, Allan Gyore who was killed in action on March 5, 1969.
Paul was born on December 10, 1944, at home in the Town of Watson, NY, a son of the late Ernest Gyore and Ruby Snyder Gyore Cavanaugh. He attended country school in Watson and graduated from Lowville Academy in 1962. On October 31, 1964, he married Patricia A. Brown at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Lowville. Together with his wife, the couple owned and operated his parent’s dairy farm on the Hodge Road for ten years, later moving to the River Road. Paul worked at Lowville Farmers Co-op for several years, while serving as Town Justice and Building Codes Enforcement Officer for the Town of Watson. During this time, he was also driving school bus for Lowville Academy School, which he did for thirty years.
He was a communicant of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Lowville. Paul was a member of the BPOE #1605, Lowville Elks Lodge, and served on the Board of Directors for Beaches Bridge Cemetery. Paul loved driving bus and he loved the kids. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
