Bonnie Marie Hellner Obituary

Age 66, of Michigan Center, passed away Friday April 1, 2022 at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home. Bonnie was born on Saturday, January 7, 1956 in Pasadena, California to the late Robert E. and Donna M. (Hawke) McKinney.  She is survived by her devoted husband; Gregory R. Hellner, two loving children; Carrie Jo (McKinney) Main and Brandon Allen W. McKinney and wife Brandi, four fantastic grandchildren; Dominic, Kierstyn, Elijah and Blake, three brothers; Robert (Sharyn), Tracy and Randy, two sisters; Jerri and Shelley, and many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.  Her family moved from California to Michigan when she was five years old.  She graduated from Addison High School with the class of 1974 and lived many years in Hudson before moving to Michigan Center.  She worked many years at the University of Michigan.  Bonnie connected with many people all of her life, from wealthy to poor, old to young, she could relate to anyone.  She loved her family, her friendships and her animals, especially her beloved dogs; Louie and Shady as well as her many cats over the years.  Cremation has taken place. A  Celebration of Life will be held at the Irish Hills Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3689 (9500 Wamplers Lake Road, Brooklyn, MI 49230) on Saturday April 16, 2022 from 1 to 3 pm.  Contributions in her memory are directed to the Cascades Humane Society.
