Louis John Mica, age 67, of Harwinton, the beloved husband of the late Lisa King Mica, peacefully entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 in his home. Born in Waterbury on March 30, 1954, he was the son of the late Agnes Theresa Achko Mica and Emil Louis Mica. He resided in Harwinton for twenty-three years, previously residing in Ansonia. Louis was a graduate of the University of New Haven and received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration. He was proud to serve as a Probation Officer for the State of Connecticut for over twenty years prior to his retirement. 

Louis was extremely proud of his family farm, Little Knoll Farm, and enjoyed building stone walls throughout the property. Louis is survived by his three cherished daughters, Ashleigh, Alexandra and Emily Mica; his two loving sisters, Kathleen Haven of Harwinton and Marie Mica Burke of California; and several nieces and nephews. Additionally, Louis leaves behind Daisy, his loyal Golden Retriever, who laid by his side until his very last day. He was a beloved father, brother, and friend and will be greatly missed by many.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 78 Litchfield Road, Harwinton. There are no calling hours. Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield Street, Torrington, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
