Doris Marcella Vance, 79, of Galion passed away on Thursday March 31, 2022, at Galion Community Hospital.

Doris was born in Galion, Ohio on July 6, 1942, to the late Henry and Marcella (Cutshall) Voss.

Doris worked as a bookkeeper for several car dealerships throughout her employment history. She loved animals, especially her dog Sally who preceded her in death. In her free time Doris could be found working on her family's genealogy or antiquing. She will be remembered as a woman who had a giving soul and worked hard to provide for her family.

Doris is survived by her 5 children; Steven (Lorie) Brandt of Galion; David (Cheryl) Brandt of Holly, Michigan; Kevin (Cindy) Brandt of Thornville; Cathy (Nathan) Bishop of Chilcoot, CA and Eugene
(Michel) Williams of Marengo; 7 Siblings; Jane (Milton) Fletcher of SC; Betty Vollrath of Grove City; Marjorie Golden of Orem, UT; Robert (Irene) Voss of Hilliard; Maxine Reed of Galion; Marcella Armstrong of Zanesville; and Gerald (Cindy) Voss also of Galion; 17 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by 1 sister Joyce McGonigal and 4 brother-in-laws, Mitch Golden, David Reed, David Armstrong, and Ronald McGonigal.

Friends may call from 10:00AM to the time of the service at 11:00AM on Tuesday April 5th, 2022, at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home 303 Portland Way Galion, Ohio 44833. Bishop Eric Valdez will officiate, and burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints in care of the funeral home.
