William Richard Tinsley Jr.

<p><strong>William Richard Tinsley Jr., 71, passed away on March 30, 2022. He was the son of the late William Richard Tinsley Sr., and Virginia Loree Adams. He was the husband of Brenda Kay Nodine Tinsley.</strong></p> <p><strong>William graduated from Dorman High School in 1969. He was also a graduate of the Criminal Justice Academy. William was a certified scuba diver for Spartanburg County Sheriff&rsquo;s Department. He spent his whole life serving and protecting as a policeman for 22 years, and a Detective for the Sherriff&rsquo;s Office the last 10 years of his career.&nbsp; William really enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandchildren. He was a wonderful, loving husband. He enjoyed spending time at the auctions; especially Piddlers. William loved riding his motorcycle to the beach and the mountains in his leisure time.</strong></p> <p><strong>He is survived by daughters, Andee Nettles (Gordon), Ange Amaya (Carlos); a son, Lance Tinsley; step children, Brett Roberts, Reggie Roberts (Christy), and Melissa Roberts; brothers, Ronnie Tinsley and Scott Adams; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.</strong></p> <p><strong>Visitation will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 from 12:00-1:00 PM at Bobo Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will follow at Bobo Funeral Chapel, at 1:00 PM, conducted by Rev. Kenneth Cash. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flower donations may be made to the Spartanburg County Sheriff&rsquo;s Office: P.O. Box 771 Spartanburg, SC 29304 &ndash; Chaplain benevolent fund &ndash; (assists officers in need).
