Laraine Murphy, age 86, of Hatfield, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Bear Creek Healthcare in DeQueen, Arkansas. She was born on Sunday, August 25, 1935 to Vernon Fields and Beaulah Fincher Fields in Oroville, California. Laraine was a very private woman but enjoyed church via TV in the past year. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, embroidery, loved reading books mostly religious. Laraine attended the Penuel Church in Hatfield and loved listening to Gospel music. She enjoyed reading and baking cookies on occasion. Laraine was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Keith James Murphy and one grandson, Kenny Pasalaqua. She will join them on the other side in peace. Laraine is survived by four daughters and sons in laws, Joanne and Craig Peck of Portland, Oregon, Ellen Murphy of San Leandro, California, Sandra Reid of Portland, Oregon, and Barbara and Gerhard Hicks Sr. of Wickes, Arkansas. Grandchildren, James Pasalaqua, Joseph Hicks, Gerhard Hicks Jr., Keith Hicks, Erica Peck-Friend, Kristy Craig, Tim Craig, Robert Craig, Loraine Grimm, (Great Grand Children) Isabella Craig, Dalton Craig, Trevor Hicks, Benjamin Foster, Gia Grimm, Olivia Grimm. A graveside service for Laraine will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Black Springs, Arkansas with Pastor Ron Tilley officiating under the direction of Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas.
